Perhaps one of the main reasons why The Falcon and the Winter Soldier chooses a more “grounded” approach to its main plot is the fact that its protagonists Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes are somewhat weaker individuals when compared to the rest of Marvel’s godlike heroes, or just literally gods. The Day Before was announced with a Steam listing of a Q2 2021 release date, which instilled a lot of confidence in fans especially at a time when seeing delays was commonplace.
