How to Toggle Rogue 2.0 in Division 2

Going Rogue in The Division 2 is simple and easy. For those playing on PlayStation 4, holding down the controller’s Touchpad will turn them Rogue, and holding down the Menu button will have the same outcome for Xbox One owners. Depending on the keybinds that a PC player is using, they will need to hold down Shift + Z or T to go Rogue.

Players can also activate Rogue status by engaging in different activities in the Dark Zones. Hacking certain terminals, stealing from extraction points, and looting specific high-tier chests can all cause a player to toggle Rogue status on.

The Dark Zones are opportunities for players to collect powerful loot, and the three areas are unlocked by completing missions throughout the game. Going Rogue provides fans with even more chances at gear, allowing them to kill other Agents and even steal items from them within the Dark Zones.

Of course, there are some drawbacks as well. Specifically, a Rogue player’s position is marked for others in the zone to see, making them easy targets for not only other Rogue players, but also non-Rogues. Players that choose to take on this status should be prepared to be under heavy fire from opposing Agents.

The Division 2 has brought a number of changes to the Dark Zone that was established by the game’s predecessor, and the way that a player activates Rogue status is only one of these changes. The most obvious difference is that there are now three of these PvPvE zones to explore. Two of the Division 2 Dark Zones have normalized stats for players while a third, Occupied Dark Zone, takes gear and builds into account.

As such, players coming to the title from The Division will certainly want to take a look at the new Dark Zones soon. Fortunately for these fans, it will be simple enough from them to go Rogue, and start thieving from their opponents, when the time comes.

The Division 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
