Reddit user AlmostPredator and their friend found their way into the Last Stronghold, and documented their experience with a series of screen-caps. And as for what this duo found in this upcoming mission location, the answer will be disappointing for everyone. Instead of carrying a secret message, or a series of Loot Caves filled with high-end weapons, the only thing found in the Last Stronghold area was a tunnel that went nowhere. Needless to say, it was all incredibly underwhelming for every The Division fan who were hoping to glean some sort of information into the endgame.

While the Last Stronghold yielded absolutely nothing, during the beta testing period, Ubisoft also locked out a majority of The Division’s map to players. It is very likely that Ubisoft are doing something similar for the Last Stronghold, and the development team will patch the mission into that dead-end tunnel when it is finally ready.
Until that Last Stronghold mission is finally revealed, players will have to make do with The Division’s 1.0.2 patch, or maybe go on the lookout for a new Bullet King glitch to exploit. Since that patch promises a host of greater rewards in the Dark Zone, perhaps players might be interested in looking up bosses using the new interactive Dark Zone map.
Hopefully the Last Stronghold mission will be something worthy when it is patched in, and not a repeat of the broken Dark Zone punishment fiasco.
Tom Clancy’s The Division is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
