The results so far have been discouraging. The Division has become something of a punchline for gamers discussing bad launches and glitchy content, while what started as an excited Division playerbase has begun to shrink alarmingly just two months after the new IP’s launch. These setbacks haven’t caused Ubisoft to give up just yet, however, and a post by Ubisoft Community Manager Ubi-Banshee has confirmed that the publisher will be releasing a hot fix tomorrow to address The Division’s daily mission issue.
The post, which is very brief, simply details the one change that will be made to The Division in its upcoming hot fix:
Of course, gamers who have been suffering through what can only be characterized as a terrible first few months for The Division will likely be disappointed that only one of many pressing concerns is being addressed tomorrow. Yet Ubisoft’s bigger plans, like a conscious decision to reinvigorate The Division’s open world PvE area, will take much more time, so fans will have to make do with what is offered to them in the short term.
While The Division is undoubtedly a polarizing game for many, at its core the title is still a dynamic shooter that contains a loot system which offers players a lot of replay value. The glitches may be the most noticeable problem, but even without those issues The Division would still be a game that needs more content to engage players over a long period of time the same way titles like Destiny and World of Warcraft have. To that end, Ubisoft recently announced that the next Incursion will be coming within the month – although, given all the fundamental gameplay issues The Division has experienced, the publisher could have chosen a better name than Broken Circle.

The Division is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
