After the Greymoor Chapter in Skyrim, and the Blackwood Chapter in Cyrodiil, the next adventure for Elder Scrolls Online players will take place on the High Isle, with the Chapter releasing on June 6 and continuing the story that began with Ascending Tide, the content update which released yesterday.

Ascending Tide is the first part of the “Legacy of the Bretons” year-long storyline, a content format introduced to the game with the Elsweyr Chapter, and much like its predecessors, it introduces two challenging dungeons for players to tackle across several difficulties for loot, achievements, and all sorts of rewards.
The story sends the players to investigate the disappearance of the once-proud All Flags Navy and to assault a costal hideout of the mysterious Ascendant Order through the two new dungeons: the Coral Aerie and Shipwright’s Regret. Coral Aerie’s entrance can be found in northern Summerset, just a bit past the Veyond Wyte Wayshrine, while Shipwright’s Regret is accessed in eastern Rivenspire, near the town of Fell’s Run.
As usual, the new content is free for all Elder Scrolls Online subscribers, while those who play without a monthly subscription will need to pay 1,500 Crowns ($15.00) to unlock the content. Ascending Tide also comes with some quality of life additions to the game, such as account-wide achievements, allowing players to enjoy the rewards they obtained on their main characters (such as titles) on alts as well.
As for the content yet to come, the Legacy of the Bretons storyline will feature a part of Tamriel never before depicted and rarely mentioned, the Systres Archipelago situated between Summerset and High Rock. By scaling back the scope from Daedric invasions and their nefarious conspiracies, the Elder Scrolls Online team hopes to tell a simpler story based on the rich political landscape of Tamriel, and Ascending Tide represents the first piece of that whole.
Between pirates, peace-talks, a mysterious knightly order, and even the Sea Elves (or Maormer), this year in Elder Scrolls Online is poised to be an exciting one, with High Isle looming over the horizon.
The Elder Scrolls Online is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
